Our Faith in Jesus is More of a Determiner of Our Salvation...

For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the Law: but if thou be a breaker of the Law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.  Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the Law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?  Romans, Chapter 2, verses 25-26.
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.  Romans, Chapter 2, verse 29.

There was a time when people thought that if they were Jewish and followed some basic laws like circumcision, they could do whatever they wanted and were saved because Jews were the chosen people.  This passage clarifies that just being Jewish or following rules like circumcision won’t get us Salvation.
I guess what this all boils down to is, God knows what is in our hearts and whether we live as examples of how Jesus works in our lives or not.  This is going to be more of a determiner of our Salvation than any outward signs like being circumcised or being of a particular ethnic or cultural group.

Because this is an example of how I’ve applied this Bible passage to my life, it doesn’t necessarily reflect the whole meaning of the passage.
